Tennis Teachers Conference at US Open - Scholarships Available

Click HERE to apply for the Junior Team Tennis Scholarship, worth $1000, to pay for registration, hotel, and local transportation.  The JTT Scholarship Application is due June 15th.
 
To be considered for the the MultiCultural Coaches Scholarship, worth $1000, that will pay for registration and three nights stay at the host hotel (travel and meals are not covered), submit the Nominee Form to Becky Lee at nnmtaprograms@gmail.com.  Worthy candidates must send their name, address, USTA membership number, email and phone number. Candidates must also send current title, (related to the program they are involved with), name of tennis program, brief description of program and brief description of their community involvement. Ethnicity is optional: Native American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Caucasian, African American, or Other.  Section nominations are due to the National Office by June 15th.  NNMTA will forward our nominations to the SWS by June 10th.  The SWS will interview candidates, make their selection, and forward the nominees name to the National Office. Use this form to make a nomination: Nominee Form.
 
MultiCultural Coaches must meet the following criteria:

Nominees should at a minimum:
  * Be involvement with a successful, culturally diverse tennis program
  * Have a history of service to the local community
  * Have not had the opportunity to attend the TTC before
 
The Coach must be committed to the following: 
  *  Helping with Arthur Ashe Kids' Day on Saturday, August 25th. 
  *  Help in some capacity at the Tennis Teachers Conference, August 24-27. 
  *  They must arrive in New York no later than 4:00pm on Friday, August 24.  There will be an orientation session that
      evening for all scholarship recipients explaining roles and procedures for AAKD.  There will be optional sessions
      on Friday if attendees wish to arrive earlier. 
  *  The coach selected should plan to depart on Monday, August 27 after 2pm or after the day matches.
 
As part of registration for the TTC, all attendees will have access to a hospitality suite and the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center grounds on Monday, August 27, (day session).  Coaches who plan to visit the grounds that day will need to make their travel arrangements accordingly.
